I~called~you~dog

When God made the earth & sky
the flowers and the trees,
He then made all the animals and all
the birds and bees
and when His work was finished,
not one was quite the same.
He said, " I'll walk the earth of mine and
give each one a name".
So He traveled land and sea and
everywhere He went
a little creature followed Him, until
it's strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth and
in the sky and sea, the little creature said,
"Dear Lord, there's not a name left for me."
The Father smiled and softly said,
"I've left you till the end,
I've turned my name from
front to back, and called
you DOG, my friend."

When God made the animals in Genesis, He made them after he created
Adam and gave Adam the task of naming all the animals. So Adam gave all the
animals their names. They were made, male and female according to their kind.
God made them for Adam to have companionship in the Garden so
he would not be a lone.

Genesis 2:15-20
(New King James Version)

15) Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of
Eden to tend and keep it.
16) And the LORD God commanded the man, saying,
“Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
17) but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not
eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
18) And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone;
I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
19) Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and
every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would
call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.
20) So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every
beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper
comparable to him.

So, you see, God has given 'man' (human beings) the important job of tending
to the lives of the animals. Adam was given the task of taking care of the
Garden and so all the animals and Adam got along.
The design God had from the beginning was harmony in the Garden between
"man" and animals and never to have such a division between then. The fall
brought about a separation of God's creation in the relationship between God and "man"
and animals and "man".
In Genesis 1:31 it says:
"Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very
good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (NKJV)
