We are born
to this life as a human being,
special in God's sight.
We are made in the image of God,
with a plan for
an abundant and joyful life.
But, in our earthly birth, in
our bodies,
we are in a state of living
according to the
bodies needs and the souls
desires.
In
ourselves, we are made up of 3
parts. Body, Soul and
spirit. When we are
born into this world, our spirit
'man' is dead
and is in need of being 'born'.
We are in need of a Savior and
an infilling of the Holy
Spirit to bring us into a life
that is full and complete within
ourselves.
That is God's plan.
However, a long time ago, Adam
and Eve sinned and partook of a
tree in the Garden of Eden that
God forbid to
eat of because in that day, it
would then separate the
relationship that God had
designed from the beginning
of Creation, for intimate
fellowship with His creation,
us...human beings.
The beginning of Creation was
designed for a relationship with
God and you. You were born
to be intimately
connected to God and complete in
yourself through the 'rebirth'
of the spirit man to be complete
in your body, your soul and in
your spirit.
There also is an enemy, it is
satan, the adversary, the enemy
of our soul, the devil, etc.,
and he is
waiting for anything place in us
to keep us from connecting to
God through relationship, so he
trips us up
in believing we have to perform
religious duties to be 'good
enough' to make it into Heaven.
This then causes us to think
that we must perform 'good
deeds', 'good works' like, going
to church,
not swearing, not smoking, being
polite, lighting candles, going
to confession, taking care of
your neighbor,
etc., to be good enough to make
it into Heaven and please God.
We see God as a white bearded
man that is waiting for us to
trip up and be bad so He can
punish us
and be the 'man upstairs',
waiting for that weak area to
punish us.
That is what the devil is.
He is waiting for any place that
we are weak to condemn us, make
us live in shame
and guilt and therefore have a
wrong impression of our true God
that loves us and sacrificed for
us
so that we could spend eternity
in Heaven.
So, God has been desiring since
before we were born to have a
deep, loving relationship with
us that is personal
and strong. Where we can
trust Him and be a 'friend of
God'.
This is where the GOOD NEWS is
for all of us that desire that
assurance of knowing we can go
to Heaven
and live forever with God.
There is a plan and we all can
be a part of it and have the
peace that
passes all understanding that no
one can take away from you.
We have a
place where we desire to have
that peace that we don't have
living the way we are now.
We see that our struggles are
getting us nowhere, so we start
to look to the possibility that
maybe there is something
out there that is different than
what we have now. There is
that place where we become tired
of chasing the
things in our life that have
never brought us to a place of
fulfillment and joy.
That is where it is now our
choice to take a look at what we
have become and where we a
trying to go
and we find that there is
nothing we have ever done that
can make us fill that void
within our hearts and give
us that feeling of being
complete.
Some look to people, some to
drugs and drinking to dull the
pain. Some of us over eat
or shop till we
drop and have huge credit cards
of debt. Sometimes we think that
huge house and garage full of
fancy
expensive cars will do it.
Maybe we think, one more degree
or the next promotion at work
will finally do it!
Sorry to say, we may find
excitement and fleeting
happiness in those things, but
pretty soon we come back
to that place of desiring more
and when then will you ever make
it when it is enough?
This is
where we find our need of
looking to God, but where do we
start? What do we do to
find our way to God?
Where is GOD!!! How do I
find HIM???
Well, there
is an answer and it is found in
Jesus Christ. He is the
way to find your peace and your
fulfillment within that pit and
whole you have nagging at you to
feel complete and whole.
Jesus desire is for
you to make a decision to
follow Him.
To take the time to tell Him
that you just can't do life
alone anymore and that you
need Him to come into your
life and take control.
Jesus said in the Gospel of
John 3:5 & 6:
5) Jesus answered, "Most
assuredly, I say to you,
unless one is born
of water and the Spirit, he
cannot enter the kingdom of
God.
6) "That which is born of
the flesh is flesh, and that
which is born
of the Spirit is spirit. (NKJV)
Verse 16 of the same chapter
says:
"For God so loved the world
that He gave His only
begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him,
should not perish but have
everlasting life.
It is Jesus that is what
will get you to Heaven.
It is believeing in the Son
of God, who came down from
Heaven above to live on this
earth so that He could
relate with us of all the
joys and pain, trials
and successes, life and
death.
It is the time of your
life to make that decision
to look to the One that can
carry your burdens and lift
you out of
that place of darkness and
hopelessness and deliver you
to a life of wholeness and
fulfillment, complete in
what God's plan for you
was...to have the assurance
of eternal life with Him
forever and ever.
It says in Romans 5:8 (NKJV)
But God demonstrates His own
love toward us, in that
while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9
& 10 says:
that if you confess with your
mouth
the Lord Jesus and believe in
your heart
that God has raised Him from the
dead,
you will be saved.
For with the heart one believes
unto
righteousness, and with the
mouth
confession is made unto
salvation.
God already
knows all about you. He
sees everything you do and knows
everything
you say. There is no where
you can run from the caring arms
of God...His desire
is to have a relationship with
you.
Psalm 139:1-4 says about you:
1)
O LORD, You have searched me and
known me.
2)
You know my sitting down and my
rising up;
You understand my
thought afar off.
3)
You comprehend my path and my
lying down,
And are acquainted with
all my ways.
4)
For there is not a word
on my tongue,
But behold, O
LORD, You know it altogether.
Verse 7 says:
Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee
from Your presence?
You see, my
friend, there is no where you
can go that God is not there.
This my friend, is not about
religion. This is about
the plan that God started in the
Garden, for
that intimate fellowship with
you, through His Son, Christ
Jesus, who came to sacrifice
His life for you on that Cross
and be the
Christ is
"the propitiation," meaning that
Jesus has become our substitute
for our sin,
assuming our obligations He
suffered punishment for
our guilt and covered our sin
with His blood by the punishment
which he endured,
on the Cross of Calvary, so that
we would be redeemed from our
life of separation
with God and then reconciled us
to God through His sacrifice.
God cannot
look on sin. He will turn
His head from sin so that is why
you feel like sometimes your
prayers are "bouncing off the
ceiling", because in some way,
they are.
It is the Blood of Jesus that
gives us access into the Throne
Room of God and we are now seen
in the eyes of God through the
righteous Blood of Christ that
covers our sins and are
forgiven.
Our names are in the Lambs Book
of life and Heaven is our
destination.
You see,
you don't need to carry your
burden of sin around with you
any longer.
Your burdens were taken for you
on Calvary 2000 years ago, by a
Savior that you can make the
Lord of your life today.
There is nothing more for you to
do, but accept the gift of life
from the one who gave you
life before you were born.
Psalm
139:13-16 says about you:
13)
For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my
mother’s womb.
14)
I will praise You, for I am
fearfully and wonderfully
made; Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul
knows very well.
15)
My frame was not hidden from
You,
When I was made in
secret,
And skillfully
wrought in the lowest parts of
the earth.
16)
Your eyes saw my substance,
being yet unformed.
And in Your book they
all were written,
The days fashioned for
me,
When as yet there
were none of them.
Jesus
desires to be your personal
Savior.
His desire is for your Spirit to
be 'reborn' and to have
your life filled with the Holy
Spirit from today on.
When you ask Jesus Christ to
come into your heart, you are
then indwelt with the
Holy Spirit of God and you now
will find yourself being lead by
the power of
the Holy Spirit and not your own
understanding.
You will find your thoughts
changing, your desires to do
different and things you
didn't notice before, will jump
out at you. You will be
able to read the Bible, the
Holy Word of God, and understand
it for the first time.
We serve a risen Lord. We
serve a Redeemer of Sin and One
who sets us free
to live a life of joy and peace,
no matter what are circumstances
are all
around us.
In the bible,
we are referred to as sheep and
Jesus is our Good Shepherd
Jesus says this in the Gospel of
John:
10:11 I am the good shepherd.
The good shepherd gives His life
for the sheep.
v. 14:"I am the good shepherd;
and I know My sheep,
and am known by My own.
v. 25-30
25) Jesus answered them, "I told
you, and you do not believe.
The works
that I do in My Father's name,
they bear witness of Me.
26) "But, you do not believe,
because you are not of My
sheep, as I said to you.
27) "My sheep hear My voice, and
I know them, and they follow Me.
28) "And I give them eternal
life, and they shall never
perish; neither
shall anyone snatch them out of
My hand.
29) "My Father, who has given
them to Me, is great than all;
and no one
is able to snatch them out of My
Father's hand.
30) "I and My Father are one.
