When we are away from God and not "Born Again" or Saved,
we are like the man on the left, dead in our sins and trespasses.
There is a "Gap" between God and us that keeps us from
Heaven and Eternal life with Christ Jesus.

John 3:1-3 says:
1) Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus,
a member of the Jewish ruling council.
2) He came to Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi, we know
you are a teacher who has come from God.  For no one
could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if
God were not with him.
3) In reply Jesus declared, "

There is nothing we can "DO" to get to Heaven to live with God
for eternity, except to receive Jesus Christ
as your personal Savior.
Our good works, religious rule keeping and
attending church, etc. and
being a morally good person will not get us to Heaven.

Romans 3:20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in
his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law
we become conscious of sin.

The only way to God is through Jesus Christ, God's Son.
John 14:6  Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth
and the life.  No one comes to the Father except
through me.
1 John 1:7  But if we walk in the light, as he is
in the light, we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Jesus Christ is the bridge to God that closes
the gap between you and Eternal life with Jesus Christ.
You must believe in your heart that Jesus Christ went to the
cross and suffered and died and shed his blood just
for you if you were the only one on this earth.
You can ask Jesus Christ to forgive you of all your sins
that separate you from God and repent from your past
and be forever forgiven and have your name
written in the lamb's book of life.
